Zinc Nacional – Update on Compliance with Commitments

Zinc Nacional reports on the progress made in fulfilling the commitments undertaken at the San Nicolás plant and its subsidiary, Meremex, as part of our work plan with the Federal Attorney for Environmental Protection (PROFEPA).

As part of these actions, we have completed the removal of 100% of the zinc oxide material from our operational yards. This material has been shipped according to scheduled deliveries for customers, while the remaining stock is securely stored in covered and safeguarded facilities, in strict compliance with the authorities’ requirements.

In alignment with these measures, a similar process is being implemented at our subsidiary, Meremex, located in the municipality of García, N.L., which has remained non-operational since 2023. The material stored at this facility is being relocated to a covered confinement area within the plant as part of the inventory removal strategy.

We reaffirm our commitment to regulatory compliance and our full willingness to cooperate with authorities in any necessary validation or additional actions.

Zinc Nacional remains committed to transparency and open dialogue with its stakeholders, in full alignment with its responsibilities.
