Following the order for the total suspension of furnace operations issued by the Environmental Prosecutor’s Office of Nuevo León (PEMA), Zinc Nacional has safely completed the shutdown of furnaces at our San Nicolás plant.
We have maintained constant and transparent communication with the relevant authorities. Furthermore, we exercised our legal rights, and a federal district court granted Zinc Nacional a provisional suspension against PEMA´s order. This measure is not intended to evade responsibilities, but rather to ensure that our operations continue in full compliance with applicable regulations.
